Rachel Allen to Sing the National Anthem3

So this is pretty cool! A few weeks ago Rachel went and tried out in front of a panel of judges to sing the National Anthem for the Phoenix Suns’ home games. Several weeks past, and we hadn’t heard anything, so we figured she just didn’t make the cut.

But a couple days ago Rachel got a call from the Phoenix Suns asking her to sing the National Anthem in mid March – when she’ll be a lovely 6 months pregnant! Won’t that be a story to tell the little one.

“See, Jr.? This is you at your first Suns game!”

I just hope this doesn’t some how pre-infect our child with some sort of “sports-fever.”

Anyway, Rachel is pretty excited about it – as she should be – and I think it’s pretty cool. Maybe I’ll stand up and yell, “That’s my wife!!!” when it’s all over with. It’ll be my own little claim to fame.

    That’s way cool! What’s wrong with a little sports-fever, anyway?? Sounds to me like it’s gonna get you into an NBA game, and those tickets aren’t cheap!

    That’s what I hear… The seats are suppose to pretty decent They’re giving us four tickets, so we get to take two friends. Too bad you guys are in Phoenix! That’d be way fun!
